Curricular Opportunities

Team teaching and Coach education

These courses offer you several cost-effective, sustainable, and reliable solutions for improving PE and school sports within your school. For example, teaching assistants who enjoy PE could support your school’s PE lessons. Lunchtime supervisors can become more confident in engaging more pupils in physical activity.

  • Designed to enhance and develop the skills of your teaching staff when delivering physical education or sport within school.
  • Delivered over a half term for each teacher (6 weeks).
  • Support from Epics Qualified Physical Education teacher during and after programme
  • Available for EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
  • Teachers knowledge and confidence measured before and after training programmes to measure impact made.

PPA and Physical Education Delivery

As a leading provider of PPA, you can be assured that Epic will always deliver the highest quality lessons. Our Sports and Physical Activity Team possess the skills and qualifications to manage full classes of children, meeting the needs of all learners and coping with challenging behaviour.

This means you and your senior management team can be secure in the knowledge that you’ll be provided with a high quality, reliable, education-focused service that improves your pupils’ skills and confidence, while consistently following best practice guidance on the effective use of agencies in PE and school sport.

  • Delivery of Physical Education lessons in a variety of different sporting activities
  • Available for EYFS, KS1 and KS2
  • All pupils’ levels of understanding and attainment before and after each half term to evidence impact.
  • Provide a swimming programme which meets the needs of the national curriculum, pupils will be able to swim competently, confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 meters, preform a safe self-rescue in different water based situations and preform a range of strokes effectively.

Sports Days

  • Epic will plan and deliver a celebration of sport for your schools’ sports day.
  • This can be traditional sports day of athletics or a rotation carousel of sports that are varied and inclusive for all pupils to succeed.

Additional opportunities

  • Arts and Crafts sessions designed to meet the needs of each individual cohort of pupils.
  • Dance sessions, designed and delivered by a Dance specialist
  • Drama sessions, designed to improve confidence, concentration and develop communication skills.
